Griesser is a Swiss construction company specializing in sun protection products for windows and terraces. The firm traces its origins to 1882 when Anton Griesser purchased a workshop in Aadorf, Thurgau, and established a roller shutter factory at 3 Tänikonerstrasse, a location to which the company remains linked. Its product range includes conventional shutters, roller shutters, lamella blinds, and awnings, manufactured in its own plants at the Aadorf headquarters as well as in France (Carros and Wolschwiller) and Austria (Nenzing). The organization maintains twelve centers in Switzerland and sells its products in more than 20 countries, employing 201-500 people directly with about 1,600 employees across the group. As a four-generation, family-owned business, Griesser pursues sustainability goals toward climate neutrality by 2050, including converting its 400-vehicle fleet to alternative propulsion by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality at all production sites by 2035.
