David Istier founded gutzy organic® in 2016 after a series of business challenges that put him on the brink of bankruptcy one too many times. 

Although always an athlete and ‘healthy’, the pressure and stress was too much to take and David began suffering skin rashes, low energy and digestive issues.  A friend recommended seeing an herbalist in Manhattan’s Chinatown neighborhood, who prescribed various teas, botanicals and prebiotics.  The visit proved to be life changing.  David learned about the power of plants to heal the body, the importance of gut health and foods with prebiotics that nourish the gut’s good bacteria.  Gutzy® was born.
