A group of industrial cleaning contractors formed Guzzler Manufacturing in 1980. Guzzler units are manufactured in Streator, Illinois, which is also the manufacturing location of the sister brand, Vactor Manufacturing — the leading combination sewer cleaner. Together — these two leading product lines share technology, manufacturing efficiencies and new product development.

Guzzler and Vactor - - along with Jetstream of Houston and Elgin Sweeper Company - - comprise Federal Signal's Environmental Solutions Group.
