The Health Care District of Palm Beach County is an integrated public health system established by voters as a special taxing district in West Palm Beach, Florida. As Palm Beach County's safety-net health system, it provides a broad range of services through community health centers, including adult and pediatric primary care, dental services, a pharmacy operation, and a trauma system that is nationally recognized. The organization maintains a substantial workforce to support health coverage programs for uninsured residents and a spectrum of hospital and public health services. In addition to its clinics, the district runs a School Health program that staffs registered nurses and certified nursing assistants in nearly 170 public schools, and operates a Skilled Nursing Center for short- or long-term inpatient care alongside Lakeside Medical Center, an acute-care hospital serving the rural western Glades communities. Headquartered in West Palm Beach, the district serves Palm Beach County through its network of facilities and services.
