Suspended Air Flotation (SAF™) is an innovative wastewater treatment technology developed by Heron Innovators, Inc. Suspended Air® wastewater treatment systems revolutionize the flotation process by eliminating the need for dissolved air.  

The Suspended Air® system is a fully integrated and engineered process that can be skid mounted or standalone. Systems are customized for seamless integration into existing wastewater treatment setups (SAF® is plug-in-play). Additionally, DAF to SAF® conversions are simple and easy to accomplish by incorporating a SAF® Generator and ClearMixer®. 

By eliminating the need for dissolved air, the SAF® technology reduces energy consumption and operational costs associated with air generation and dissolution. It also minimizes the maintenance requirements associated with dissolving air. SAF® is capable of achieving high removal efficiencies for various pollutants, including suspended solids, fats, oils, and greases (FOG), and biological oxygen demand (BOD).
