The HF Holidays story began in 1913 when country pastor turned social innovator Thomas Arthur Leonard offered walking holidays as an alternative to the annual seaside trend that had gripped the working classes. Over 100 years later, his vision for escapism and exploration in the countryside is very much our reality. Run as a co-operative society, we are the UK’s largest walking and outdoor travel company. We also own and manage 16 UK country houses, all with long and storied histories.
