HomeBase, The Center for Common Concerns, is a national nonprofit based in San Francisco, California, focused on public policy solutions for homelessness and poverty. For more than thirty years, it has worked at national, state, and local levels to design and implement programs and systems that help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness achieve housing stability, improve health, and increase economic self-sufficiency. Its work engages communities, service providers, and policymakers seeking practical approaches to prevent homelessness and foster wellbeing. It has pursued initiatives such as a Medi-Cal Renewals Outreach Campaign launched in August 2023 to help people experiencing homelessness retain Medi-Cal coverage, and in March 2026 served as emcee at its first summit on older adult homelessness, From Urgency to Action.
