Hutchison Insurance Agency celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2015. During the year, the agency continued to grow and move forward. Early in the year, Eastern Alliance, one of the top writers of Workers Compensation in PA, recognized Hutchison Agency as a “unite Best In Class Agency”. The recognition is given by Eastern for agency knowledge, expertise and commitment in writing Workers Compensation insurance. As 2015 came to a close, Hutchison was recognized by the Insurance Alliance of Central PA as its Personal Lines Agency of the Year, the second year in a row the agency has won that award. The Insurance Alliance of Central PA, of which Hutchison was a founding member, consists of 9 member agencies, writing approximately $240 Million in premium volume. The Insurance Alliance was recognized again in 2015 as one of the top 20 Agency Partnerships nationally by the Insurance Journal. As a member, Hutchison directly represents or has access to over 60 insurance markets. This allows the agency to offer a tremendous amount of products and services at competitive rates, essentially providing a large brokerage marketplace with local service and commitment. Yet Hutchison is locally owned and operated. The agency represents such national insurance companies as Travelers, CNA, Hartford, Hanover, Chubb & Liberty Mutual allowing Hutchison to provide coverage to customers operating both nationally and internationally. In addition to the national carriers, Hutchison also represents many strong regional companies such as Cincinnati, Selective, Acuity, Donegal, Penn National & Westfield.
