Since the launch of the Pony, developed with its own technology, Hyundai Motor Company has been a pioneer in the Korean automotive industry. Among its global production bases, the longest-serving overseas plant has been located in İzmit, Kocaeli, since 1997.
Hyundai Motor Türkiye is managed 97% by Hyundai Motor Group and, under the philosophy of "Progress for Humanity," produces "i10" in the A segment, "i20 and i20 N" in the B segment, and "Bayon" in the B-SUV segment at the İzmit plant. For the vehicles produced at the İzmit plant, Hyundai provides a "5-Year Manufacturer Repair Guarantee," a "5-year or 100,000 km guarantee" for diesel and petrol vehicles, and an "8-year or 160,000 km guarantee" for electric vehicles.
Hyundai Motor Türkiye offers its quality vehicles for sale all over Türkiye and contributes to the national economy by exporting these models to over 40 countries.
The plant, which has an annual production capacity of approximately 245,000, has produced over 3 million vehicles to date. With more than 60 authorized dealers and services in Türkiye, it is the 13th largest company and the 5th largest automobile manufacturer in the country. Hyundai Motor Türkiye is the first plant among Hyundai Motor Company's plants to receive the 5-Star Quality Award. Hyundai Motor Türkiye contributes $1.3 billion to the Turkish economy through direct and indirect investments and provides employment for over 20,000 people, including 2,500 employees and 17,500 suppliers.
