Idaho State Police is a statewide law enforcement agency headquartered in Meridian, Idaho. It comprises sworn officers and civilian staff who work alongside city, county, state, and federal public safety partners to safeguard lives, property, and constitutional rights across Idaho. To support this mission, ISP operates a network of specialized units and centers, including the Bureau of Alcohol Beverage Control, two Regional Communications Centers, Forensic Services, Brand Inspection, the Bureau of Criminal Identification, Peace Officer Standards and Training, the Idaho Criminal Intelligence Center, Planning, Grants and Research, and the statewide Public Safety and Security Information System (ILETS). Six district offices across the state provide patrol, investigations, and regional communications, with forensic laboratories in several districts.

Beyond field operations, ISP staff work in areas such as Evidence Management, Human Resources, Financial Services, Information Technology, Facilities and Warehouse Management, and Fleet Services. The agency serves Idaho residents through its distributed district network, covering Northern Idaho, Central Idaho, Southwestern Idaho, Southern Idaho, Southeast Idaho, and Eastern Idaho, maintaining a mid-sized profile within the law enforcement landscape and concentrating on both operational capabilities and supporting services to sustain public safety.
