Inverid - a Signicat company are the creators of ReadID, the NFC-based mobile identity verification technology that makes it easy for anyone with a smartphone and an electronic identity document to prove who they are. ReadID is a secure and scalable solution that reads and verifies the cryptographically protected chip in identity documents.

Since 2025, Inverid has been part of Signicat, the leading pan-European digital identity platform. ReadID is now a core element of Signicat’s identity proofing portfolio, working alongside electronic signing, authentication and trust orchestration capabilities to deliver end-to-end digital identity journeys.

As part of Signicat, our international team of developers, strategists, consultants, researchers, ethical hackers and security engineers continues to  develop solutions that increase digital trust, help organisations onboard and serve customers remotely.

Inverid, formerly known as InnoValor, was founded at the end of 2013.
