Founded in 2006, itworks is Israel’s leading nonprofit dedicated to transforming the workforce by equipping underrepresented communities with the tools to secure meaningful employment in the hi-tech sector. We offer cutting-edge tech training, mentorship, and job placement for Russian and Ukrainian olim, Arab-Israelis (including Druze, Bedouins, and East Jerusalem residents), and women displaced by the Iron Swords War. Through strategic partnerships with Israel’s top tech companies, we create pathways for talented individuals from these communities to build sustainable careers and economic independence. We take a holistic approach to workforce inclusion — because supporting candidates alone is not enough. To drive lasting change, we also work with employers. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) consulting helps companies build inclusive environments where diverse talent not only enters, but thrives. We believe employment is one of the most powerful drivers of social change, advancing equity, dignity, and opportunity. Sustainability is core to our model: we pilot innovative, scalable employment programs, prove their success, and work closely with the Israeli government to adopt and expand them nationally. To date, three of our programs have been officially integrated into national frameworks, maximizing long-term impact. Impact as of 2025: – 4,500+ individuals placed in competitive, sustainable roles across Israel's hi-tech sector since 2006 – 600 participants placed annually into Israel's innovation economy – 20 employer-aligned training programs delivered each year – 230+ strategic partnerships with leading hi-tech companies nationwide
