Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is a not-for-profit hospital district that provides clinic, hospital, care center, assisted living, home care, and ambulance service. We have been awarded and recognized at both the state and national levels for the exceptional quality of care and environment of collegiality.

We are proud of our modern medical facility and that we can offer a wide variety of outreach and specialized services, using the most current technology available. However, what we are most proud of is the dedicated medical staff and team of employees that serve the Dawson Area Hospital District and set Johnson Memorial Health Services apart from the rest.

JMHS is located in a thriving town positioned on the Lac qui Parle River and U.S. Highway 212. Dawson’s variety of numerous businesses makes us a shopping destination for surrounding communities. The Dawson-Boyd School District is located in town and serves students in grades PreK-12. The excellent public school system offers a 1:13 ratio of teachers to students and has an above state average graduation rate. Community recreational activities include indoor/outdoor pools, racquetball/tennis courts, fitness center, golf course, fine arts center, softball fields, and excellent hiking, camping, hunting and fishing locations
