The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre is a community-based performing arts organization in Kalamazoo, Michigan, founded in 1929. It delivers theatrical experiences of high caliber through the collaboration of volunteers and professional contributors. Each season, more than 30,000 theatre enthusiasts attend its productions, and about 1,000 volunteers dedicate over 50,000 hours to its work. The organization also serves as a training ground for many young performers and designers, helping launch numerous careers and offering classes for people of all ages. It functions as a cultural cornerstone in Kalamazoo, engaging audiences, volunteers, and participants across the community. The staff is small to mid-sized, supporting ongoing programming and operations. In 2021, Laura Zervic was appointed Executive Director following an executive search led by Arts Consulting Group.
