KFC started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a Finger Lickin’ Good recipe more than 75 years ago. Today we still follow his formula for success, with real cooks breading and freshly preparing our delicious chicken by hand in more than 23,000 restaurants in over 140 countries and territories around the world, including over 600 right here in Canada. 

But the Colonel was more than just a man passionate about serving Sunday dinner 7 days a week.  He was a man who valued hard work, generosity and believed in helping others find their secret recipe in life.  We respect his legacy by keeping these values alive in all we do.
