King County Medical Society is a nonprofit professional association based in Seattle that represents physicians in Seattle and King County and advocates for their patients. Founded in 1888, the organization operates within the hospitals and health care sector, with a focus on promoting best medical practices and raising public awareness of issues affecting quality patient care and public health. Over the years KCMS has pursued partnerships to advance its mission, including a 2019 collaboration with Seattle startup Intuitive X to organize the HealthTech Summit. It has also formed alliances with the Washington State Medical Association and the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, broadening its regional health leadership network. In 2018 the society partnered with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce to offer the Business Health Trust to its members.
