K+S Salt LLC was established as the U.S. subsidiary of the German company K+S AG.  

As part of the K+S Group, K+S Salt shares the strength of the global enterprise with more than 14,000 employees and more than 3 billion dollars (U.S.) in annual revenues. Today, K+S is one of the world’s leading producers of potassium and magnesium fertilizers and salt products.

The Salt business unit is the word's largest supplier of salt products with an annual production capacity of about 32 million tonnes.  The business consists of several global entities including Morton Salt (North America), esco (Europe) and K+S Latin America.
