Our Mission Lakeland seeks to shine the light and proclaim the trusth in Jesus Name. Key Strategy - Making Disciples “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” II Corinthians 5:18-21 My Responsibility: Spend seven minutes in prayer and Bible study each day. Visit with someone each week to share Christ’s love. Start a Bible Study Group . My Commitment: I commit to spend more time with God about people so I can spend time with people about God. Key Strategy - Maturing Believers “And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-16 My Responsibility: Minister to individuals in the circle of influence through sharing, caring, encouraging and equipping with the Word of God. My Commitment: I commit to share, care, encourage, and equip those in my circle of influence by exhorting with the Word of God. Key Strategy - Magnifying God in Worship “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16 My Responsibility: Encourage families and individuals to participate in family and church worship services through praise, psalms and hymnody. My Commitment: I commit to engage in personal and church worship to enlarge my spirit for God. Key Strategy - Maximizing Funding "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10 My Responsibility: Recognize God owns everything. Give to Christ through good works, individual needs and Christian ministries. My Commitment: I commit to honor God by giving tithes and offerings and managing all resources as His treasures. Key Strategy - Multiplying Ministry “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 My Responsibility: Invest and work in missions in the triplex area and inner city Dallas. Participate in multi-family housing Ministries. Participate in Partnership Missions. Be involved in benevolent and social ministries in the community. My Commitment: I commit to pray, serve, go and support missions as God sends me and others.
