Los Angeles Education Partnership is a nonprofit organization in the education administration field, based in Los Angeles, founded in 1984, that works with families, schools, and the broader community to advance educational equity by facilitating access to quality educational and wellness practices for children from infancy through graduation. The organization concentrates its efforts on two areas that consistently affect student outcomes: transforming schools to expand the capacity of educators, students, and community to share responsibility for producing college- and career-ready graduates and sustainable change; and reaching children in early childhood to promote healthy development and bolster parents’ ability to prepare them for school success. It identifies six core elements as essential for school success: high-quality instruction, teacher leadership and collaboration, college and career readiness, parents as partners, youth empowerment, and educational equity. In 2026, LAEP partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help ensure that children and adults have access to nutritious meals and snacks. The organization also engages in community leadership initiatives, evidenced by its participation in notable events such as the CORO Luncheon and the Women in Leadership Luncheon in May 2026. LAEP has expanded its footprint in the Los Angeles area with initiatives like the Early Head Start Childcare Center launched in Hawthorne, California, in March 2024.
