Lucy & Leo's Cupcakery is a small bakery in Tallahassee, Florida that has been baking cupcakes from scratch for the local market since 2009. The venture started after two women, inspired by a London trip, decided to offer an affordable dessert option during a recession. Founders Jean Bates and Paula Lucas bring hospitality, retail leadership, and an MBA to the operation. The shop's name references two local dogs, Leo and Lucy, a detail that ties into the brand's narrative.

With a small team, the business targets customers seeking a locally produced cupcake as an affordable everyday dessert.
