Luzerne Music Center is a performing arts organization based in Lake Luzerne, New York. Each summer it offers world-class music instruction to young people within a camp environment and presents more than 30 classical concerts through the Luzerne Chamber Music Festival, a Faculty Artist Series, and free student programs, aiming to build both artists and audiences for the future. The center relies on a faculty that includes members of professional ensembles and university or conservatory instructors, drawing on a network of renowned guest artists to support its programs. Founded in 1980 by a Philadelphia Orchestra cellist and a Steinway pianist, LMC operates within New York’s Adirondack Park and has a history of engaging thousands of musicians and concert-goers since its inception. A notable recent development includes its ongoing partnerships to offer music camp scholarships and recording session opportunities through collaborations with related organizations.
