Measurand designs and manufactures geotechnical instrumentation focused on real-time monitoring and safety. Its ShapeArray system measures deformation in soil and structures in real time and can be installed vertically, horizontally, or along an arc to track lateral movement, settlement, or convergence. The device consists of rigid stainless steel sensorized segments connected by flexible joints, with each segment containing three MEMS tilt sensors, a microprocessor, and a digital temperature sensor. By enabling immediate data collection and transmission, ShapeArray narrows the gap between engineering theory and field observations and provides project engineers with timely information to support safer, more informed decisions.

Measurand is part of Orica Digital Solutions' Geosolutions group, which unites six leading monitoring brands to provide an end-to-end portfolio for mining and civil infrastructure projects. Based in Hanwell, New Brunswick, the company operates within a globally connected group that leverages Orica's long history, and it announced a partnership with Monir Precision Monitoring in March 2026.
