Public works focus MECO serves governmental and public sector clients across Missouri and West Central Illinois, with expertise in public works engineering, water systems, sanitary sewer, wastewater treatment, and bridge/stormwater projects. Sales opportunities exist in municipal contracts, water districts, universities, and state agencies seeking multi-disciplinary civil and survey services.

Joint venture potential Recent collaboration with MECO Heneghan Engineers in a USDA Rural Development–backed project indicates receptivity to joint ventures and large, grant-influenced initiatives. Explore co-bid or partner models for federally funded infrastructure programs and rural development initiatives.

Growth through leadership Board additions in 2023 and expansion with new team member in 2026 suggest strategic growth and leadership development. This signals capacity for larger, more complex projects and potential to pursue expanded service lines such as MEP, site development, and civil/structural design in municipal markets.

Technical credentialing With licensed PLS professionals, a Certified Floodplain Manager, and strong field/technical staff, MECO can win projects requiring regulatory compliance, floodplain analyses, and high-quality surveying. Target clients with permitting hurdles, flood risk assessments, and infrastructure upgrades that leverage their certifications.

Financial and market positioning Revenue range indicates a mid-market firm with room to scale; similar mid-sized competitors compete across public works, land surveying, and civil engineering. Position MECO for multi-year municipal programs, state-funded infrastructure, and private development pipelines to expand revenue through strategic BD outreach.
