Our history Medline Australia was established in 2011 and ever since we’ve been putting customers first. But our origins date back more than 100 years to 1910, when – in Chicago – Medline manufactured butcher’s aprons, and soon after, surgical gowns. And the rest is history. Today, Medline is the largest, privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare products in the US, and a thriving $20 billion global enterprise with growing international markets – including Australia and New Zealand. A family-led organisation, Medline is still managed by the fourth generation of the Mills family who started it all in 1910.
