Melissa and Tricia, original founders of Memorable Events and Catering, both have extensive backgrounds in the catering business.  They met and became fast friends through Christ the King Church in Bellingham, WA, and have since combined forces many times over the years. They got together one summer when Melissa was asked to cook for four, back to back banquets of 300 guests each.  It just seemed natural to ask Tricia to help.

In January 2007 their dream of going into business together came true. They pooled their resources to invest in top quality catering equipment, insurance, tablecloths, and china and opened for business.  Steady growth and satisfied customers who gave back with word of mouth advertising brought them to a crossroad in 2010.  They needed a new kitchen and chose to build their own custom 3500 sq ft catering kitchen in Ferndale, WA.  They reopened in February, 2011 as Memorable Events Catering and MEC Culinary Kitchen.
