Metro West Fire Protection District is a public safety organization based in Wildwood, Missouri. It has served the local community since 1934, originally organized as the Community Fire Association. As nearby municipalities incorporated and boundaries changed, the district adopted its current name on April 9, 1993. The district covers about 57.5 square miles and serves portions of Ballwin, Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, Castlewood, Ellisville, Sherman, Wildwood, Winchester, and unincorporated areas of St. Louis County. It maintains a mid-sized workforce and provides a range of services including fire suppression, paramedic/EMS, rescue, all-hazards preparedness and injury prevention, emergency management, and specialty services. The organization's primary focus is the communities it serves, and it expanded its community engagement through a Community Health Program launched in September 2023 to address healthcare gaps.
