MRV Systems, LLC was founded in 2010 as a spin-out from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at University of California San Diego. MRV holds an exclusive license to manufacture the SOLO-II profiling float, which is a major component of the International Argo program, with over a thousand floats deployed worldwide. Since its founding, MRV has continuously updated and enhanced its product line and now offers a range of autonomous profiling systems. These buoyancy-driven products require highly reliable and tightly integrated systems capable of operating autonomously for years. MRV Systems is closely tied to research institutions and government agencies, both as suppliers and collaborators. We are a small private company that serves a global market and operates from three cities - San Diego, Seattle, and Chicago.
