The mission of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL) is to provide leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocate for the equality of women under the law. Since 1899, NAWL has been empowering women in the legal profession, cultivating a diverse membership dedicated to equality, mutual support, and collective success. Our work includes: • BUILDING COMMUNITY - Cultivating welcoming spaces to foster connections and support personal and professional growth. • EVENTS - Substantive programming and national networking spark continued education and career development at our premier annual conferences and regular virtual and regional events. • ADVOCACY - Prioritizing voting rights, racial equity and justice, pay equity, reproductive justice, freedom from gender-based violence, and the Equal Rights Amendment. • AMICUS - Supporting cases that advance NAWL's mission. • RESEARCH - Tracking gender equity and the advancement of inclusion in the legal profession. • WOMEN LAWYERS JOURNAL - Since 1911, a biannual forum for members to exchange ideas and stir coalition. • NAWL PODCAST - A platform for NAWL members and sponsors to educate and inspire others in the legal profession. • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Relationship building, skill honing, and leadership opportunities for members at all career stages in all practice areas.
