The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) is a nonprofit organization that strengthens programs serving domestic violence survivors by advancing public policy, improving institutional responses, and supporting research and prevention efforts. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, NRCDV provides technical assistance, training, and resource development to frontline programs, drawing on feedback from the field and an extensive record of assistance requests. NRCDV was established in 1993 with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and operated as a national project within the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence until becoming independent in 2011. It works with a range of partners to improve community responses to domestic violence and to support prevention initiatives. In 2024 NRCDV released policy recommendations to increase safe housing for survivors and introduced resources on paid safe leave with model legislative language.
