Neighborhood Involvement Program, Inc. (N.I.P) is a Minnesota-based mental health care organization located at 2431 Hennepin Avenue South in Minneapolis, employing 11 to 50 people. Founded in 1968, it has a history of community involvement in the region. The organization terminated all direct client services on December 31, 2014; subsequently, the N.I.P. Seniors Program was incorporated into Senior Community Services on January 1, 2015, and the Rape and Sexual Abuse Center became a program of Cornerstone Advocacy Service on the same date. The Walk-In Counseling Center continues to accept uninsured and under-insured N.I.P. mental health clients. After January 1, 2015, the administrative office remained open with core staff to manage the agency's closure and to assist clients with transferring health records and referrals to services elsewhere in the community.
