The New England Plan develops and promotes ideas to improve the economic health, environmental resiliency and quality of life in the six-state New England Region. The Plan protects and enhances our New England heritage, including our shared values of hard work and responsible fiscal management of community affairs. It strives to protect natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint while promoting vibrant and resilient communities. The Plan includes conducting research on effective transportation systems, clean energy alternatives, wise land use, affordable housing initiatives, a clean environment, good governance and other issues of social and cultural importance as they arise. The Plan advances the implementation of its recommendations through advocacy and intense public participation.
