New Mexico Voices for Children is a nonpartisan, statewide advocacy organization in the civic and social sector, based at 625 Silver Avenue, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102. It was founded in 1987 by three pediatricians as the Coalition for Children, led by Dr. Robert Greenberg, to address root causes of poor child well-being by changing the systems that perpetuate poverty, inadequate nutrition, violence, pollution, homelessness and related harms. The organization conducts credible research and advocates for public policies to improve health, education and economic security for New Mexico's children, families, and communities, with a focus on racial and ethnic equity. It pursues systems-level, sustainable change and accountability for policy outcomes. In March 2024, NM Voices named Gabrielle Uballez as executive director.
