Nextek is a pioneer in direct current, DC, power networking solutions that enhance the flexibility, reliability, and efficiency of energy systems in buildings. By Direct Coupling®, directly connecting, clean power generated at a building to its electronic loads inside Nextek cuts down on over-all power consumption, boosts electrons generated and stored on-site, and delivers a robust renewable energy ready network. Our company goal is to leverage the existing manufacturing and supply chains to mass produce Direct Coupling® power servers at lower cost, in order to boost renewable energy use globally while enabling access to reliable electrical power in developing countries. Nextek is contracted by the US Department of Energy and the Department of Defense to deliver Direct Coupling® DC power innovations for Solar Energy Grid Integration Systems and Vehicle to Grid systems. Nextek collaborates with the Electrical Power Research Institute, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and Sandia National Lab on DC Power projects.
