The New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) is a state-level nonprofit association that coordinates New Jersey’s network of community colleges. Created by statute in 1989, it operates as a corporate body with tax-exempt status and is headquartered in Trenton, New Jersey. Its mandate is to provide statewide leadership for the state's eighteen community colleges, fulfill sector coordination required by state law, and coordinate statewide efforts to improve student success within the higher education system. The organization serves its member colleges, their boards, and presidents, by aligning policy and programs across the state. A notable recent development is the 2023 partnership that enabled Union County College to offer Grow with Google Career Certificates through an agreement with Google and Coursera facilitated by NJCCC. It has also advanced initiatives such as NJ Pathways, which links industry and higher education to expand career pathways for students.
