Northern Regional College is a public higher education institution and one of six regional Colleges of Further and Higher Education in Northern Ireland. It delivers a wide range of courses—from entry-level Level 0/1 through higher education foundation degrees to a full bachelor’s degree—across six campuses and through outreach centres and online learning. The college enrolls approximately 20,000 students annually. Its campuses are located in Ballymoney, Ballymena (Farm Lodge and Trostan Avenue), Coleraine, Magherafelt, and Newtownabbey, with community education delivered at outreach centres and via digital learning. As a regional provider, it serves a broad mix of learners, supporting local skills development and economic activity through its course offerings. The college is undergoing development to upgrade facilities and expand capacity across its existing sites in Coleraine and Ballymena. In June 2026, it announced an international partnership with Ncrtvet focused on developing green hydrogen skills and curriculum resources.
