The Norwegian Mapping Authority has an extensive remit that encompases both land and sea. We collate and manage detailed public geographical information for Norway, from the highest mountain to the deepest ocean floor and facilitate easy acces through our national spatial data infrastructure in our role as Norway’s national geodata coordinator. Geographical and ratified information are the common denominators when it comes to the tasks performed by the Norwegian Mapping Authority. This might include datasets that provide the basis for a map, place names, property boundaries or registered rights associated with a specific place.
