New York City Design Factory is a physical space located at the Seidenberg School of CSIS on Pace University’s New York City campus. Our mission is to create a space where the NYC community can come together to gain a working understanding of design thinking using project-based-learning methodology. As Design Thinking becomes an ever more popular way to get students to think about the impact of design in their everyday lives, the timing for establishing a Design Factory at Pace University has many benefits. The Factory provides a foundation for Pace University to collaborate with innovative institutions and their faculty as well as students on five continents. It provides a proven model for collaboration with industry, allowing companies to benefit from the creativity and outside perspective of our students while providing an opportunity to find and hire new talent. Importantly, it provides a unique learning experience for our students with proven benefits to their portfolios as well as their international and interdisciplinary work experience.
