The Ohio Poultry Association is a nonprofit statewide trade organization that represents more than 1,000 egg, turkey, and chicken producers and farmers in Ohio. It supports its members by engaging in legislative and regulatory affairs, educating consumers, and facilitating information sharing and networking among producers. The association promotes responsible flock management, high-quality, safe food production, and environmentally conscious farming practices, with members actively involved in their communities. Based in Columbus, Ohio, it coordinates efforts to monitor and comply with state and federal laws and to advance best management practices across Ohio's poultry farms. Its members rely on the association to advocate on policy matters, share industry best practices, and stay informed about regulatory changes affecting the poultry sector. In December 2022, Ohio Poultry partnered with Cooper Farms and GrowNextGen to support a Chickenology virtual field trip that exposed students to egg processing and farming operations.
