On-Ramps to Careers is a business-education partnership that empowers young people to access and prepare for dynamic and well paid STEM careers.  It provides employers and industry professionals with a reliable infrastructure to inspire students and prepare the region’s future and current workforce. Developing young workers for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) is important for the well being of our National Capital region and economy.

How can STEM and IT internships benefit your organization?
Develop a talented future employee(s) with roots in the region with fresh skills in computer programming, networking, digital-media or engineering.
Gain visibility for your investments in STEM education and your community.
Improve morale, mentoring and leadership skills among your employees.

Who are potential interns?
Top Washington, DC high school students concentrating in IT or engineering.
Students who have a strong academic record and completed a competitive selection process, including a resume, recommendations and interview.
