Founded in October 2022, Oona is focused on becoming the most customer driven provider of general insurance in Southeast Asia. Headquartered in Singapore, Oona is wholly owned by Oona Holdings Investments Pte. Ltd and backed 100% by Warburg Pincus, a leading global growth investor. 

Through a buy-and-build strategy, Oona aims to become the pre-eminent digitally-enabled general insurance provider in Southeast Asia. Oona currently has two licensed insurance entities, PT Asuransi Bina Dana Arta Tbk (“ABDA”)in Indonesia, and Oona Insular Insurance Corporation (“OIIC”) in the Philippines, both of which have a long-standing track record in their respective markets for delivering quality products and superior customer service. These assets bring Oona an initial product portfolio, strong distribution relationships, a robust infrastructure, and an immediate foothold in Southeast Asia upon which to build its business. These companies are now offering products and services as Oona Insurance since early 2023.

Oona plans to expand its presence across key Southeast Asia markets with the aim of being the number one choice for partners and customers alike, based on its customer service, technology and strong brand.
