OTISCO ENGINEERING Creating Sensible, Sustainable Engineered Solutions OUR STORY Our story started as we grew up in the 1960s and 70s in a large loving family in Lakewood, Ohio. We are two of twelve children, born to Bill and Barbara Nortz. Growing up in a large family means you learn to take care of yourself and your siblings. Our parents instilled in us a love of family and neighbors, active participation in our church and community, an incredible work ethic, and a healthy lifestyle through athletics. Our summer vacations were spent on Otisco Lake in upstate New York where we have a one-acre lakefront property where we made dams in a stream, planted flower and vegetable gardens, fished, and made and remade a cool dock that would hold 12 kids! As our curiosity grew and our skills were honed, we installed a groundwater geothermal cooling system, a sewage septic system, roofed and painted the cottage, added on a bunk house, repaired bikes, boats, and lawn tractors as often as the kids would break them, and helped the neighbors with projects. Otisco Engineering is about creative problem solving, sharing our love of science and engineering, and a desire to help you reach your project goals. We look forward to getting to know you, and we may bring chips & salsa to one of our meetings with you! And when we meet, ask us about our BONFIRES!
