The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable is a coalition of outdoor recreation trade associations and organizations that seeks to grow the outdoor recreation economy and related activities. Based in Washington, D.C., it operates as a government relations organization that informs policymakers and the public about policies aimed at conserving public lands and waterways while supporting outdoor infrastructure. Its members represent thousands of businesses that produce vehicles, equipment, gear, apparel, and services for Americans who enjoy parks, rivers, byways, trails, and other outdoor spaces. The combined outdoor recreation sectors contribute about $1.2 trillion to the U.S. economy and support roughly five million direct jobs. It educates decision-makers and the public on balanced policies that conserve resources and enhance outdoor experiences. A recent development is ORR's partnership with the Federal Interagency Council on Outdoor Recreation (FICOR), announced in April 2026 to advance collaboration on recreation data, technology, and access.
