As much as it is a profits-driven enterprise, THE OVER THE RAINBOW GROUP is a vehicle for the implemention of principles and ideas and the realization of dreams.

The methods used by Black America to communicate ideas and inspire action remain as diverse today as they have ever been. In pursuit of our objectives, we have chosen to employ, along with the dissemination of information and serious discussion, uncensored humor, pointed satire, and music. Each of which is as much a part of our "Black Experience" as the color of our skin or the texture of our hair.

We harbor no illusion that everyone will appreciate all of our efforts. The lowest common denominator, however, will never guide our efforts. We will always seek to provoke thought, in agreement or opposition, on the part of our visitors. We recognize, as in the sphere of physics, there is a tendency on the part of all humans to resist acceleration; a tendency to remain at rest, or to stay in motion in a straight line unless acted on by an outside force.

We will venture outside the "intellectual boxes" intended to keep everyone happy, maintaining their current state of inertia. It is such "free and unrestrained thought" that will lead to undertaking the actions which will make a difference in our collective "Black future". We invite you to utilize and enjoy each of our sites, and, hopefully, someday, we will meet... "SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW".
