The Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier is a Civil War-focused campus in Petersburg, Virginia that blends interactive, high-tech museum experiences with hands-on activities on a 424-acre site. The complex comprises four museums and four antebellum homes on the Breakthrough Battlefield of April 2, 1865, and preserves extensive Civil War earthworks. The site has been designated a National Historic Landmark and was recognized by the Travel Channel as one of Virginia’s best places to visit. In January 2023, Colin Romanick was appointed Executive Director.
