Dès son plus jeune âge Florent Poirier est sensible au goût de l’ancien et des objets rares. Écumant les antiquaires et les brocantes rouennaises avec son père à la recherche de pièces de collection, c’est de là que lui vient sa passion pour le rétro et pour la mode début 20ème siècle.

En 2010, Il décide de créer sa propre marque dans l’idée de réinventer une maroquinerie intemporelle oubliée et de proposer un rapport / qualité prix attractif.

Alors auto entrepreneur, Florent dessine un premier modèle nommé « LeCartable » avec 10 premières pièces à fabriquer.

À l’époque une des premières difficultés est de trouver un atelier pouvant lancer une si petite série...

C’est naturellement vers l’Inde que Florent se dirige pour le lancement de cette première collection… un artisanat de qualité, un pays producteur de cuirs, de petites quantités fabriquées, l’impossible devenait alors réalisable !

C’est ainsi que commença PAUL MARIUS : Un atelier Indien comptant 3 artisans et un jeune français installé dans la cave de ses parents.

S’inspirant de cartables d’écoliers, de vieux sacs de postiers ou encore de sacs de cabine des années 70, la marque présente une collection exclusive de sacs et d’accessoires entièrement réalisés de manière artisanale.

Aujourd’hui grâce au succès de la marque PAUL MARIUS peut compter sur 1400 artisans collaborateurs Indiens ainsi que 200 collaborateurs Français, soit 1600 personnes qui participent au développement de PAUL MARIUS…
