Often we're asked how the company began, and as we like to say, every great idea starts with a great story.  While traveling abroad to Italy,  Pino Gelato Chairman and CEO Ramona Fantini was captivated by the culture and essence of the beloved country.  After trying authentic Italian gelato, Fantini became so enamored with the taste and quality of the product,  she decided to invest and grow the gelato concept in the United States. "Pino Gelato sets itself apart by offering each customer 'an experience' and the genuine taste of Italy with every scoop," she says.   

Winning the 2012 & 2013 U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Ribbon Small Business Award and the 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year Award, Fantini has shaped a trademark brand that is unique by design.      Fantini was selected as runner-up for the 2012 U.S. Small Business Administration Person of the Year for South Carolina, "in recognition of Pino Gelato's outstanding staying power and innovation."  Pino Gelato recently celebrated 10 years in business with the “Scooping Happiness” campaign to thank every fan for their continued love and loyalty!
