Portland Patrol Inc. is not an ordinary private security company. Our company was founded and is owned by a retired Portland Police Bureau commanding officer and many of our security officers are former/retired police officers who still have a desire to serve the community.

PPI has been providing security patrols in Portland’s downtown Business Improvement District since 1997. Our partnership with the Portland Business Alliance (Downtown Clean & Safe) and the Portland Police Bureau is a unique program aimed at livability complaints and problems on the downtown sidewalks and public spaces. PPI helps businesses and citizens with problems like trespassing, panhandling, street level drinking, drug use and littering, etc.
