POW Gloves designs and manufactures hand-wear for outdoor activities, prioritizing comfort and durability across a range of mountain conditions. The company’s concept originated in the Pacific Northwest, dating back to a 1997 road trip to Stevens Pass. The first production run occurred in 2005, with initial sales conducted from the trunk of a car in resort parking lots during market testing. By 2008 the brand had started distribution in more than 30 countries and operated with a single product line, reflecting a growing global footprint. In 2010 POW obtained a licensing agreement with GORE-TEX, enabling waterproof materials, and the company remains based in Seattle as a small team pursuing its development in outdoor hand-wear.
