Project C.U.R.E. is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 and based in Centennial, Colorado, dedicated to addressing global shortages of medical resources. It is described as the world’s largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment, and related services to doctors and nurses serving patients in resource-limited settings across more than 130 countries. The organization operates distribution warehouses in seven U.S. cities and relies on a workforce of 201-500 employees, with support from over 25,000 volunteers annually. Each week, Project C.U.R.E. delivers approximately three to five semitruck-sized ocean containers of medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and clinics abroad, with hundreds of healthcare professionals traveling with the organization to provide treatment and training. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it pivoted to support PPE and medical equipment needs in the United States, delivering more than 15 semitruck loads equating to over 4.5 million pieces and nearly $5 million in PPE.
