Pure Water for the World is a nonprofit organization focused on expanding access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education in underserved communities in Haiti and Central America. It originated as a Rotary Club project in 1994 and was incorporated as Pure Water for the World, Inc. in 1999; the organization is based in Rutland, Vermont, with offices in Tegucigalpa, Trojes, and Maraita in Honduras, and Limonade in Haiti. It supports community-led, sustainable WASH programs intended to protect local water sources and improve health outcomes, while also providing training and consulting to other NGOs, government bodies, health officials, and educators. Since its inception, the group has partnered with more than 730 communities, reaching over 750,000 people. In 2023, Pure Water for the World launched the LIFE-Honduras Consortium to address migrant needs in Honduras and support affected local communities.
